In pursuit to position the Islamic Republic of Pakistan a key member of Commonwealth with the potential to assist in creating a powerful platform for meaningful engagement between businesses and Government decision-makers across the Commonwealth through CWEIC, the Rt Hon. Sir Hugo Swire KCMG, Deputy Chairman of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council UK (CWEIC) and former British Parliamentarian visited Pakistan on 20th and 21st February 2020 on a personal invitation extended by the Chief Executive of Bestway Group and the Chairman of Conservative Friends of Pakistan (CFOP), Lord Zameer M. Choudrey CBE SI Pk.

Mr Zameer Choudrey, CBE, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Chief Executive Bestway Group has been appointed to the House of Lords by Her Majesty the Queen, in recognition of his contributions to Britain’s domestic and foreign trade, his philanthropic work both in the UK and abroad, and his role as Chairman of the Conservative Friends of Pakistan.

Punjab Environment Protection Authority (EPA) in collaboration with World Bank organised the subject conference and exhibition in Lahore on September 19-20, 2019. This was the kick-off event of the collaboration between Government of Punjab and World Bank to create awareness on environmental issues along with capacity building of EPA. Bestway Cement Limited participated in the event along with several other small, medium and large scale manufacturing local and international companies.

Today it has been announced that Zameer Choudrey CBE, Chief Executive of Bestway Group, will be appointed to the House of Lords under the Queens intention of conferring Peerages of the United Kingdom.
