Once again Bestway Foundation, honoured for its contribution and support to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Hospital and Research Centre during the past two years, received the Social Responsibiity Award for 2022 & 2023.
Bestway acknowledges its role and responsibility towards local communities, actively contributing to their socio-economic development. This commitment is evident in initiatives aimed at enhancing access to healthcare and education, participating in urban development and environmental conservation programs while helping generate employment.
The awards ceremony drew participation from leading local and multinational firms in Pakistan, all of whom are actively engaged in advancing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts across the country.
As one of Pakistan's top ten CSR spenders, Bestway demonstrates its dedication through the philanthropic endeavors of its charitable arm, the Bestway Foundation. Over the past three years alone, the Foundation has allocated more than Rs.1 billion towards various social causes, with a particular focus on education.
In addition to providing substantial financial support to leading educational and healthcare institutions nationwide, the Foundation operates five schools at Chakwal, Kallar Kahar, Mianwali, Hattar, and Farooqia, along with a Girls’ college in Gujar Khan, offering quality education, free of charge.
Recently, the inauguration of two new state-of-the-art school buildings in Hattar and Farooqia marked significant milestones, with plans underway for the construction of another school building in Mianwali. Furthermore, Bestway runs complimentary medical centers at all its production facilities, catering to thousands of patients from local communities annually, ensuring access to basic healthcare services.
