In view of the increasing demand for cement in the country, Bestway has decided to set up a state of the art and most environmentally friendly greenfield cement plant with a capacity of 7,200 tonnes of clinker per day along with a 9 Megawatt Waste Heat Recovery Plant. For this, the Company has entered into an agreement with Sinoma International Engineering Co. Limited, PR China for EPC.
All necessary regulatory approvals and financial arrangements have been secured.
The plant is located near Paikhel, District Mianwali and work on the project has commenced. The project is expected to be completed around December 2022 at an estimated cost of USD 135 million.
This expansion will take Bestway’s total capacity to more than 12.3 million tonnes per annum of clinker.
